Hello everyone! This week I wanted to talk about what I’m loving at the moment make-up and beauty wise. I’ve tried a lot of products over the years, and have found products that really work and perform well. My make-up collection used to be much larger than what it is now, but I’ve really whittled away and edited my collection so that I only have things that I truly love and can’t live without.
Eyes
MAC Warm Neutrals Palette – I have a lot, a lott, a lottt, of eye shadow palettes, but this is the only one that I’ve used all summer. This was a recent rediscovery in my collection, and I literally cannot stop putting it on my face. My two favorite colors to use on the lid are Gingersnap and Amber Lights. I love these colors because you can do a light wash over the lid for a more day time look, but you can darken it as well and rock it for a night out. If I want a more subtle eye, I love using Honeylust all over the lid. This palette is $65, but at 17 dollars a pop for the individual shadow, this is a steal!

Lancome Hypnose Drama Waterproof Mascara – I love a good volumizing mascara. However, some out on the market can make your lashes clump and make them look short and stumpy, but this one does a really really good job creating length as well. This mascara lifts and separates your lashes, and creates really good volume at the base of the lashes while lengthening. The waterproof formula is really good and will not budge.
Face
Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder– Yeah. This is as good as everyone says. I used to set my liquid foundation with just a regular powder I would pick up at the drugstore, and I’d end up oily in a couple hours. Then I picked this little baby up, and it honestly changed my life. I work 12 hour shifts, and I apply this and set it with a setting spray in the morning and I’m good to go. Now I’m an oily person, and lets be real, twelve hours is still 12 hours, but I don’t need to touch up at all before my shift ends.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation– My holy grail of foundations. It is so versatile in terms of coverage. One pump gives me light to medium coverage, 2-3 pumps gives me full coverage. This foundation never looks cakey and just sinks into your skin.
Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop Highlighter– That highlight tho. When I travel, this is the only highlight I bring with me. The formula applies so smoothly onto the skin and is really easy to work with. Apply immediately after using setting spray when skin is still tacky and your highlight will be visible from space.
Mac Warm Soul Blush– I use this for work almost everyday. It’s described as a mid tone beige with gold pearl, and is the perfect blush to go with almost any eye look.
Lips
Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick– This is the best liquid lipstick formula on the market, hands down, and pretty much the only thing I use on my lips now. Current favorite shade is Christmas Cookie, a soft peachy nude that looks great on most skin tones. I’ll be breaking out Celebrity Skin and Androgyny in the upcoming months.

Rosebud Salve– One of my favorite lip balms on the market. I apply this right before bed and wake up with soft moisturized lips.
Prime and Set
MAC Prep+Prime Fix Plus– Such a versatile product and one that is always in my collection. I mainly use this to intensify the pigment of my shimmer shadows. Spray on an eyeshadow brush and apply your shadows as normal.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray– This is the workhorse in my collection. I spray this on in the morning to set my face and my makeup stays on all day. It decreases the amount of oil my face produces and prevents my foundation from breaking down.
Here’s a photo of a more natural make-up look I did using all of the products listed above.
